The Asia Cup was played in UAE, with six team participating, and were divided into two groups with three teams playing one another at group stage and top 2 would go to the semifinals. 5. Ravindra Jadeja (India)
Indian Left arm Spinner-all rounder Ravindra Jadeja started his career in 2009. In the ACC Asia Cup 2018, Jadeja took 7 wickets from the four matches he played for India. With these wickets, Jadeja featured in the top 5 list of the most wickets in Asia Cup 2018 . His best was 4/29 against Bangladesh at Dubai International Stadium on September 21.
India, after winning the toss, had put Bangladesh into bat first and bowled them out for 173. Bhuvneshwar Kumar & Jasprit Bumrah picked 3 wickets each. India, in reply, chased down the target with 7 wickets and 13.2 overs to spare.
4. Jasprit Bumrah (India)
The Indian Medium pacer debuted in ODI in 2016. Jasprit Jasbirsingh Bumrah would pick 8 wickets from the four matches he played for India in the ACC Asia Cup 2018. With these wickets, Bumrah featured in the top 5 list of the most wickets in Asia Cup 2018. His best was 3/37 against Bangladesh, the same match Jadeja picked 4-for, India winning it by 7 wickets.
3. Kuldeep Yadav (India)
The Indian left arm unorthodox bowler started his ODI career in 2017. Kuldeep Yadav would pick 10 wickets from the six matches he played in the ACC Asia Cup 2018. With these wickets, Yadav featured in the top 5 list of the most wickets in Asia Cup 2018. His best was 3/45 against Bangladesh in the final match on September 28.
India had put Bangladesh into bat first and they were bowled out for 222 despite 121 from Opener Liton Das. Yadav took 3 while Kedar Jadhav took 2. India chased down the target on the last ball with 3 wickets remaining. Captain Rohit Sharma scored 48, while Dinesh Karthik & MS Dhoni scored 36 & 37 respectively.
2. Mustafizur Rahman (Bangladesh)
The Bangladesh Left arm pacer debuted in ODI in 2015. Mustafizur Rahman would pick 10 wickets from the five matches he played in the ACC Asia Cup 2018. With these wickets, Rahman featured in the top 5 list of the most wickets in Asia Cup 2018. His best was 4/43 against Pakistan in the Super Four match on September 26.
Bangladesh had set a target of 240 for the Pakistan team with 99 of Mushfiqur Rahim & 60 of Mohammad Mithun. Pakistan could only manage 202/9 from their 50 overs. Apart from Rahman, Mehidy Hasan took 2 while Rubel Hossain, Mahmudullah & Soumya Sarkar, all picked one each.
1. Rashid Khan (Afghanistan)
The Afghan Leg Spinner debuted in ODI in 2015. Rashid Khan would pick 10 wickets from the five matches he played in the ACC Asia Cup 2018. With these wickets, Khan led the top 5 list of the most wickets in Asia Cup 2018. His best was 3/46 at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi against Pakistan on September 21. Batting first, Afghanistan had set a target of 258 for Pakistan, which they chased down with 3 wickets & 3 balls remaining. Mujeeb Ur Rahman took 2 & Gulbadin Naib took 1 apart from Khan’s 3. Imam–ul-Haq scored 80 & Babar Azam scored 66 while Shoaib Malik scored 51 not out.
