5. Atletico Madrid vs Real Madrid, 2016-17 La Liga

Cross-town rivals and title contenders every season in the La Liga, the Madrid derby is one of the most celebrated derbies in the World. To score on such an occasion is immense and Antoine Griezmann’s goal at home at the Estadio Vicente Calderon in Madrid healed wounds of the defeat in the Champions League Final a year earlier. 4. Atletico Madrid v AS Roma, 2015-16 UEFA Champions League

The pick of the lot, this one came against Italian outfit AS Roma on their way to the UEFA Champions League Final the same season. Atleti were direly in need of a goal in the second half when Greizmann stepped up to produce a brilliant finish with a bicycle kick that stunned players and fans alike. The goal was nominated for the 2016 Puskas Award as well.

 3. Real Sociedad v FC Barcelona, 2013-14 La Liga BBVA

Back when he hadn’t signed for Atletico Madrid, Griezmann was tormenting Barcelona with his antics for Real Sociedad. Ideally playing as a winger for the Spanish outfit, he played the false 9 roles at times and this goal came at home against the reigning La Liga Champions. It was a beautifully taken shot from outside the box that had the pace and precision on it to take it past Victor Valdes and into the Barca goal.

 

2. Real Madrid v Atletico Madrid, 2017-18 La Liga BBVA

Another Madrid derby, another Griezmann special. This one came at the end of a wonderfully constructed counter-attacking move that had the Los Blancos defenders caught out helplessly. Atleti were trailing 1-0 and a wonderfully taken goal by the French talisman saw the scored level as Atletico went on to secure a point and make a major dent in Madrid’s title hopes.
