The year 2019 saw no singles player completely dominate the rest of the lot. Novak Djokovic and Rafa Nadal did enjoy a sort of duopoly in Grand Slam but in overall titles many players were able to equal or come near to them. 5. Daniil Medvedev
The Russian had a very successful year in 2019 especially though the period of August to October. Medvedev broke in the top 10 ranking reaching a career high of World Number 4 and finishing the year at World Number 5.
Medvedev won 4 titles in 2019 which included 2 Masters 1000 tournaments at Cincinnati and Shanghai. He also won 2 ATP 250 series events at St. Petersburg and Sofia Open events. In all 2019 was a career breakthrough year for the talented Russian who also reached his maiden Grand Slam final at the US Open.
4. Roger Federer
Federer had a moderate season in 2019 by his glorious standards. He won 4 trophies in 2019 taking his total title tally to 103. The Swiss maestro won titles at Miami Masters and 3 ATP 500 titles at Dubai, Halle and Basel.
Federer’s title tally in 2019 consisted of 1 Grass Court and 3 Hard Court trophies. Roger also came very near to winning a Grand Slam in Wimbledon 2019 but could not cross the line ultimately surrendering the title to Serbia’s Novak Djokovic.
3. Rafael Nadal
If not for his injuries and some surprising clay court losses in 2019, Rafa Nadal would have added few more titles to his already impressive tally for the year. The great Spaniard won 4 trophies in 2019. Two of Rafa’s 4 trophies came on Clay which included Rome Masters and Roland Garros.

2. Dominic Thiem
The Austrian star also was one of the standout players in 2019. Thiem reached the finals of Roland Garros for the 2nd consecutive time in 2019. He also won 5 titles in 2019 putting him at par with Novak Djokovic as the most title winner of the year.
Thiem won 2 clay titles in 2019 which consisted of an ATP 500 in Barcelona and at ATP 250 in Kitzbuhel Open. The Austrian also won 3 hard court titles among whom was his ever Masters 1000 trophy at Indian Wells and 2 ATP 500 tournaments at the Beijing and Vienna Open.

The Serb superstar had a great start to the season 2019 by winning his 7th Australian Open. Djokovic remained as the Number 1 player in the World for most part of 2019. He also won 5 titles during the year.
Novak won 3 Hard Court tiles in the year among which were the Australian Open, Paris Masters and an ATP 500 in Tokyo. Novak also won 1 title each on Grass and Clay which consisted of Wimbledon and Madrid Masters. He was the only player in 2019 to win big titles on all 3 surfaces.
