Richard Allen was the goalie of Indian Hockey team at the Amsterdam 1928, LA 1932 & Berlin 1936 Summer Games. India would go on to win the Olympic Hockey tournaments in all three Summer Games, starting the Indian Field Hockey’s journey at the games with a hat-trick of wins. These were three of the 8 Olympic Gold medals India won in Olympics in Field Hockey till 1980. Richard Allen is considered one of the greatest goal-keepers of all time.
