Kolkata: Gujarat defeated by a massive margin of an innings and 107 runs on the last day’s play in their Group B clash to move to the top of the table in Surat on Monday.
Earlier having posted a mammoth 601/4 with big hundreds from skipper Parthiv Patel (173), Priyank Panchal (152) and Bhargav Merai (110) in response to Rajasthan’s paltry 153, Siddharth Desai led the way with the ball as he scalped five wickets conceding 129 runs.
However it’s not that Rajasthan never fought back as they did through Robin Bist (81), Mahipal Lomror (60) and C D Bist (54) but they still fell short at the end with none of them going on to make a big score.
