The CPL 2017 or Caribbean Premier League 2017 was the fifth edition of Caribbean Premier League which would see 6 franchise teams fighting for the tournament title. The tournament was co-hosted by Trinidad and Tobago, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Guyana, Barbados, Jamaica & Saint Lucia during August 4-September 9, 2017. Trinbago Knight Riders won the tournament, their second Caribbean Premier League title, defeating St Kitts & Nevis Patriots in the title clash. The right-handed batter-wicket-keeper from Barbados, Dwayne Romel Smith, was part of the Barbados Tridents team for the Caribbean Premier League 2017. Smith, who would play for the IPL, BBL & PSL as well, would go on to score 349 runs from 10 innings of the 10 matches he played in the Caribbean Premier League 2017 at an average of 38 around. His scores included 2 hundreds; Smith’s 103 not out against St Lucia Stars was his best & the highest individual score of the tournament. With these runs, Dwayne Smith made to the top 5 list for the most runs in CPL 2017.
4. Evin Lewis (St Kitts & Nevis Patriots)
The left -handed batter from Trinidad and Tobago, Evin Earl Lewis, was part of the Saint Kitts & Nevis Patriots team for the Caribbean Premier League 2017. Lewis, who would play for IPL & BPL as well, would go on to score 355 runs from 9 innings of the 10 matches he played in the Caribbean Premier League 2017 at an average of 44+. His score included 3 fifties; Lewis’ 97 not out against Barbados Tridents was his best score of the tournament. With these runs, Evin Lewis went on to be part of the top 5 list for the most runs in CPL 2017.

The Left-handed master batter from Jamaica, Christopher Henry Gayle, was part of the Saint Kitts & Nevis Patriots team for the Caribbean Premier League 2017. Gayle, who would also play for most of the T20 leagues across the globe, would go on to score 375 runs from 10 innings of the 11 matches he played in the Caribbean Premier League 2017 at an average of 75. His scores included 4 fifties and Gayle’s 93 against Trinbago Knight Riders was his best score of the tournament. With these runs, Chris Gayle entered into the top 5 list for the most runs in CPL 2017.
2. Kumar Sangakkara (Jamaica Tallawahs)
The Sri Lankan left handed WK-batter Kumar Chokshanada Sangakkara was part of the Jamaica Tallawahs team for the Caribbean Premier League 2017. Sangakkara, who would play for Sri Lanka Cricket team in international cricket, would go on to score 379 runs from 11 innings of the 11 matches he played in the Caribbean Premier League 2017 at an average of 42+. His scores included 4 fifties; Kumar’s 74 not out against St Lucia Stars was his best from the tournament. With these runs, Kumar Sangakkara made to the top 5 list for the most runs in CPL 2017.
1. Chadwick Walton (Guyana Amazon Warriors)
The right handed wicket-keeper batter from Jamaica, Chadwick Antonio Kirkpatrick Walton, was part of the Guyana Amazon Warriors team for the Caribbean Premier League 2017. Walton, who would play for PSL & LPL as well, would go on to score 458 runs from 12 innings of the 12 matches he played in the Caribbean Premier League 2017 at an average of 41+. His score included three fifties; Walton’s 92 against Barbados Tridents was his best score of the tournament. With these runs, he featured into the top 5 list for the most runs in CPL 2017.
