His team, FC Barcelona would win the tournament edition winning 25, losing 6 & drawing 7 matches of the tournament.

Former Real Zaragoza Footballer David Villa Sánchez would go on to score 25 goals for his team during the 2005-06 tournament. With these goals, the Spanish Footballer got himself among the footballers with the most goals in La Liga 2005-06. His team would win 19, lose 7 & draw 12 from the competition to finish third in the team table of tournament edition and qualify for the Champions League third qualifying round. Villa would score one hat-trick during the tournament, in a 3-0 win against Athletic Bilbao. Valencia Club de Fútbol would score 70 goals in the tournament edition.

Former Mallorca Footballer Samuel Eto’o Fils scored 26 goals for his team during the 2005-06 tournament. With these goals, the Cameroon Footballer got himself among the footballers with the most goals in La Liga 2005-06, in fact leading the table. The Camp Nou based side would win the tournament edition as they’d qualify for the Champions League group stage.
