India made three changes in today’s game against Australia with Sandeep Narwal, Pradeep Narwal and Deepak Hooda making it to the first seven. As Australia was playing their first Kabaddi World Cup, the game turned out to be one sided and India registered their first win with a healthy 54-20 margin. Raiding and defense points were raining for India in the first and second half.
However, when the margin increased India went complacent to allow Australia their first raiding point when Anup Kumar was out. Australia claimed to be better defending side compared to their raiding. Though they were a total failure as Aussies weren’t able to score even single point of defense in the game. The charismatic Manjit Chillar completed his Hi-five in both the matches he played. The first half score was 32-7 when only one player of Australia was standing on the other court. India managed to all out Australia four times in the match. This was the third and last match of the day; India will play Bangladesh on 11th of October.
The second match of the day between Kenya and Poland was a roller-coaster ride. Till the end of the first half both teams were tied at score of 27-27 and it was Kenya which managed to pull out the victory in second half. It was the captain of Kenya David who scored 18 raid points to take the match in their favour. While Polish players were seen taking advantage of their football skills Kenyan players used their heights to score points.
The second match of the day ended when Kenya showed their Kabaddi skills to win the match by a score of 54-48. The match was full of fun and excitement the two teams wrestle for a win; Poland is playing their first ever Kabaddi World Cup. On the other hand, Kenya is pretty experienced and tactical side compared to Poland and that’s what they showed during the match.
In the first match of the day between Bangladesh and England, Bangladesh made a comfortable win with 52-18 points. It was the super tackle by England in the fifth minute of the game gave England some hope but went futile as the match progressed. The raiding by Bangladesh made the difference; especially when they scored 18 points in the first half to lead the half with 23-9. And then the first yellow card of the tournament went to the player of England. After the match Bangladesh was placed at first position in Group A table for just two hours when India managed to defeat Australia in the third match of the day and took the first position.
