5. Saqlain Mushtaq – Pakistan
Saqlain Mushtaq was one of the best spin bowlers of Pakistan who discovered doosra. He had taken 250 wickets in a short span. He was the first Pakistani bowler to take a hat-trick in the World Cup tournament.
Mushtaq was consistent with his bowling performance in the tournament and had kept the batsmen under his control. His 5 wickets haul against Bangladesh was an effective bowling performance. 4. Robin Singh – India
Robin Singh was born in Trinidad but played for India. He was an all-rounder & his fielding abilities were of a high standard. Robin was the most consistent performer in the domestic cricket while he played Ranji matches and won Ranji Trophy for Tamil Nadu as a captain.

3. Venkatesh Prasad – India
Venkatesh Prasad was right-arm medium pace bowler who had a limited but successful career. He was famous for his slower deliveries which had always surprised the batsmen. The finest moment of his career was during World Cup 1996, when being sledged by Aamir Sohail after hitting a boundary over mid-on, Sohail was clean bowled by Prasad on the very next ball.
His performance during the tournament in ’99 was equally good when he took the main 5 wickets of Pakistan and helped his team to win the match by 47 runs. 2. Lance Klusener – South Africa

1. Glenn McGrath – Australia
Glenn McGrath was one of the best fast bowlers of Australia who had a long and very successful career in all forms of the game. He was a much-disciplined bowler who hardly missed his line and length. McGrath was one of the most respected bowlers in Cricket history.
