Wushu Player Sanjan Lama of India finished 9th in Taolu Men’s Nanquan event at the 14th Wushu World Championship 2017, Kazan, Russia.
Sajan Lama who represented India at 2014 Asian Games was able to score just 9.59 points out of 10 and secured 9th position.
China’s Jianming Li won Gold medal with 9.72 points while Silver and Bronze were won by Macau’s Juan Hua Huang (9.67) and Vietnam’s Quoc Khanh Pahm (9.66).
Earlier Sajan finished 20th in Nangun event as well.
Nanquan is a Chinses Martial art form with emphasis on “short hitting” on the arms movement. It’s southern boxing style of taolu (form). It focuses on unarmed combat versus some other taolu that use swords or spears.
