Gyandash Singh Mayanglambam of India finished at 13th in Taolu Men’s Taijijian event at the 14th Wushu World Championship 2017 here at Kazan, Russia.
Gyandash, who won Gold medal in the same event at South Asian Games 2016, had a bad outing and couldn’t show his best performance and finished with a mere 8.76 points to end his campaign at 13th out of 18 players. He also finished at 14th in Taolu Taijiquan event.
Japan’s Tomohiro Araya (9.66) , Taipei’s Yu-yeh Chuang (9.63) and Hong Kong’s Tak Yan Samuei Hui (9.60) shared the podium.
Taijijian is an event using the Jian based on traditional Taijiquan jian methods. The sword used by players is a straight two-edged sword used in the training of the Chinese martial art Taijiquan routine.
