The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) governs the global Paralympic Movement. It co-ordinates and monitors the Summer Paralympic Games and Winter Paralympic Games, and serves as the International Federation for 10 sports, for which it supervises and co-ordinates the World Championships and other competitions.
The IPC’s vision is to enable Para athletes to achieve sporting excellence and inspire and excite the world. Allianz Athlete of the month is a way the International Paralympic Committee recognizes the performances of Paralympic Athletes. The nominations are made by the National Paralympic Committees and International Federations.
Nur Syahidah Alim, Singapore, Archery
Nur Syahidah Alim is Singapore’s first world champion archer. She won the compound women’s open in ’s-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands.
Based on his performances which made him a world champion archer, he was nominated for the prestigious award.
Johannes Floors, Germany, Athletics
Johannes Floors smashed two world records at the Bayer Invitational Meeting in Leverkusen, Germany: the 100m T62 in 10.66 and the 200m in 21.22.
Based on these record-breaking feats he was nominated for the prestigious award.
Raimundo Mendes, Brazil, Blind Football
Raimundo Mendes won player of the tournament and was top scorer at the Blind Football American Championships in Sao Paulo, Brazil, as part of the winning team.

Antoni Ponce, Spain, Swimming
The Spanish Swimmer Antoni Ponce was crowned champion of the men’s individual World Para Swimming World Series for the first time. He dethroned Brazil’s most decorated Paralympian Daniel Dias who had won the two first editions.
Based on the performances which made him champion of the men’s individual World Para Swimming World Series he was nominated for the prestigious award.
Mohamed Sameh Eid Saleh, Egypt, Table Tennis
The Egyptian Table Tennis player won his eighth straight African Championship, earning his direct qualification for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics.

Based on the performances which got him direct qualification for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics he was nominated for the prestigious award.
