Kolkata: Ashoke Dinda’s brilliance with the ball and Anustup Majumdar’s second hundred in the match although ended in a draw against Goa but nonetheless Bengal got three crucial points to make it to the quarter-finals of the Ranji Trophy at the Eden Gardens on Tuesday.
Bengal’s spearhead Dinda bowled with fire and aggression to scalp five wickets as the home team bundled out Goa for 310 runs which gave Bengal a 69-run lead, handing them three points required to make the quarters.
But that wasn’t it as Anustup Majumdar went on to make his second hundred of the match as Bengal ended at 334/5 in their second innings, giving Goa a target of 403 runs. The visitors then made 86/2 as the fixture ended in a draw.
