Kolkata: Bengal inched closer towards a berth in the knockout stages after they bowled out Goa for 310 runs, thereby attaining a lead of 69 runs on the third day’s play at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Ashok Dinda was the star with the ball as he ran through the Goa batting line-up, scalping five wickets for just 79 runs. Kanishk Seth and Boddupalli Amit got three and two wickets respectively.
Bengal then came up with a decent batting performance as they reached 108/3 at the end of the day’s play, gaining a a 177-run lead. Abhimanyu Easwaran (20 n.o) and centurion Sreevats Goswami (15 n.o) are at the crease and the duo would look forward to continue doing the good work they’ve done so far.
