Profile | Suranga Lakmal is a Sri Lankan International cricketer, who plays from the national team of Sri Lanka since 2009. He plays in all formats of the game and represents the Tamil Unicorn team in domestic cricket. He has captained the test squad of the national cricket team of Sri Lanka for a couple of years. Suranga Lakmal is a right-armed medium-fast bowler, who occasionally bats as a lower-order right-handed batsman as well. He has played cricket in his school and college level before got selected for the under-19 Sri Lankan team at the beginning of his career. He got selected for an ODI in 2009 to begin his international cricket career against Indian. Then he made his test debut in 2010 and T20I debut in 2011 successfully and became a regular member of the national Sri Lankan. His success rate in test format is comparatively higher than the rest two layouts of the international field. Suranga Lakmal is a lanky pacer who can bowl at high speed with properly skilled leaps and bounds. He was named in the team of Sri Lanka for 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup.
