Profile | Steve Peter Devereux Smith is an Australian International cricketer, who has been like a regular player of the national Australian team since 2010. Steve Smith is a right-handed middle-order batsman, who occasionally plays the role of a right-arm leg spin bowler as well. He even captained the national team for a couple of years and currently represents the New South Wales and Sydney Sixers at domestic level. Steve Smith has started his cricket career during his school days and used to play club cricket for Sevenoaks Vine squad in the premier division. After playing a few highlighted domestic tournaments and showing his best performances, Steve Smith began his international career in 2010. He made his international debut in a T20I match and took his desirable cricket career to a glorious path with numbers of achievements & records. His unorthodox trick started improving with an overstated trigger movement over time. Steve Smith is much appreciated as a batsman than a bowler, and he has got consistent success in all formats of the game. Unfortunately, he had a stop in his career as he was suspended for the ball-tampering by the Australian board in 2018. He is one of the most expensive cricketers in IPL and currently playing with the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2019 tournament. (as Compiled by Madhushree Das Ghosh) (Profile Image from Facebook) |
