Profile | Shai Hope is a Barbadian cricketer, who plays for the national cricket team of West Indies since 2015. He plays for Tests and ODI formats and represents Barbados Tridents at domestic level. Shai is a wicketkeeper-batsman and occasionally bowls in left-arm medium-fast style. He used to play for Barbados Under-19 team and has represented the England Cricket team in his domestic days. His elder brother Kyle Hope is also a West Indian cricketer, who represents West Indies internationally in Tests and ODI formats. Shai Hope came into the limelight for his glorious innings in Regional Four Day Competition in 2014-2015 seasons with a double century. After this, he got selected for the national team of West Indies and made his international debut in 2015 through a test match. He made his ODI and T20I debut consecutively in 2016 & 2017 and became a key member of the national squad since then. He was named in the team of West Indies for the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup. |
