Profile | Sabbir Rahman is a Bangladeshi International cricketer, who serves the national cricket team of Bangladesh as an all-rounder since 2014. He represents the Rajshahi Division team at domestic level and Barisal Division in first-class cricket, apart from the national squad. He is a batting all-rounder, who plays as a middle-order right-handed batsman and a leg-break spinner. He made his domestic debut at the age of 16 through a first-class match in 2010 and officially entered the path of cricket as a professional player. After this, Sabbir Rahman has played for Under-19 team in Bangladesh U-19 World Cup and got a direct entry in the national squad for his contribution in that tournament. In that U-19 World Cup, Sabbir also captained his team and shown his mental stability too, with his power-packed performances. He made his international debut through a T20I match against Sri Lanka in 2014 and ODI debut in September in the same following year. Sabbir Rahman had to wait for more years to complete his debut game in all three formats and finally made his test debut after 2 years, in October against England. Since then, he became a regular member of the national cricket team of Bangladesh and has been played for all format of the game progressively. Apart from international matches, Sabbir also appears in Bangladesh Premier League and represents Sylhet Sixers team in this franchise. Despite being a crucial part of the national team, Sabbir often got involved in the disciplinary issue and punished by the BCB in his career. Not only in international filed he also got suspension along with a match-fee fine in BPL tournament for this irresponsibility issue. However, this decent leg-break bowler and a stable middle-order batsman always find a way out and come back to his clan successfully.
