Profile | Ross Taylor is a New Zealand International cricketer, who plays for all formats of the game. He is an aggressive middle-order batsman and primarily appears at number four in all three formats of cricket. He used to play for the Under-19 team of New Zealand in domestic cricket and captained the team as well. His impressive innings in domestic circuit gave him an opportunity to appear in the international field in 2006. He made his international debut through an ODI match against West Indies and appeared in T20I format in the same following year. He is a clean striker and immensely skilled as a middle-order batsman, who can hit any ball through leg side with full power. He occasionally bowls as well in off-break and plays a match-winning role in Kiwis’ team for no doubt. The coordination between his eyes and hands in unorthodox strokes has made him a threat for any modern-age bowler. He is considered one of the adept and greatest batsmen of all time across the world. Ross Taylor was named for the New Zealand squad for 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup. (as Compiled by Madhushree Das Ghosh) (Profile Image from Facebook) |
