Profile | Mujeeb Ur Rahman is an Afghan International cricketer, who plays for the national team of Afghanistan since 2017. He is the youngest member of the team and currently playing for all formats of the game. Mujeeb Ur Rahman is the nephew of Noor Ali Zadran, who is also a member of Afghanistan national cricket team at the present time. Mujeeb Ur Rahman is a regular spinner of the squad; he bowls in right-arm off-break style and occasionally bats as a right-handed lower-order batsman. He started his cricket career at a very early age and entered the national team of Afghanistan even before his adulthood, at the age of 16 only. He made his international debut through an ODI match in 2017 and has completed his debut game for the rest two formats within 1 year. He has played only 1 test match so far, but his impactful bowling skill made him a regular member of the national squad soon for all three formats of the game. This young spinner could drive the ball further with a flick of the fingers, which made him an asset for the team, especially for the limited-over matches. He plays exceptionally well in death over, which gave him an advance entry in the IPL meadow in such early stage of his career. He is enlisted in the team Afghanistan for the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup. (as Compiled by Madhushree Das Ghosh) (Profile Image from Facebook) |
