Profile | Mohammad Saifuddin is a professional Bangladeshi cricketer, who plays for the national cricket team of Bangladesh since 2017. He plays for the shorter formats of the game in limited overs cricket. Saifuddin represents Chittagong Division in domestic cricket and Comilla Victorians in BPL franchise. He also plays for the East Zone in first-class cricket for the 2017-2018 sessions. In Dhaka Premier League, Saifuddin uses to play for and Shinepukur Cricket Club and Abahani Limited squad in domestic circuit. His success rate in domestic field, especially in the Under-19 World Cup tournament, and Under-23 Asia Cup leads him to the national squad of Bangladesh in 2017. Saifuddin made his international debut through a T20I match against West Indies and ODI debut in the same following year. At the beginning of his international career, he faced failure and being dropped for a couple of matches. After this, he got a call for the home ODI match in 2018 and back with a bang with the full all-rounder power. Saifuddin is a bowling all-rounder, who bowls in right-arm medium fast style, and occasionally bats left-handed. According to the experts, Saifuddin can play more skilled with the ball than a bat; however, he is strong as a batsman as well in front of square on either side of the wicket. He hasn’t made his test debut yet so far, but already became a permanent member of the team for limited over games. In April 2019, Mohammad Saifuddin was enlisted in the squad of Bangladesh for 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup. (as Compiled by Madhushree Das Ghosh) (Profile Image from Facebook) |
