Manika Batra is an Indian table tennis player, who represents her country internationally since 2011. She is a top-rated female table tennis player and led Indian women table tennis team to win gold in 2018 Commonwealth Games.

At the 2018 Commonwealth Games, She became the first Indian female table tennis player to win an individual gold medal in the CWG history. She started playing table tennis at the age of four only and took participate in the state-level championship for the under-8 category. In her teenage, she took the professional lesson of table tennis from Coach Sandeep Gupta, who is also her coach in the present time. At that time, she declined a training scholarship from Peter Karlsson Academy of Sweden just to complete her studies in Jesus and Mary College.

Batra began her professional table tennis career from 2011 with the U21 tournament at Chile Open and won a silver medal at that championship. She started shining from the 2014 Commonwealth Games and got the desirable limelight for her contribution in the Asian Games held in the same following year.

After this, she has an unstoppable career run with an equal success rate in mixed doubles and singles since then. She is a right-handed player and shakenhand grip is her favorite position at the court during a match. Apart from table tennis career, Batra has a promising career beacon from the modeling field as well and has been offered since her childhood. She is considered one of the most pretty-looking athletes of India.  She has already featured in the cover page of two top fashion magazines of India Femina and Vogue in 2018.
