Profile | Liam Dawson is an English International cricketer, who plays for the national cricket team of England since 2016. He plays for all formats of the game and represents the Hampshire team at domestic level. He is a slow left-arm orthodox bowler and right-handed batsman, who plays as an all-rounder of the team. Apart from an international field, Liam Dawson also played for first-class cricket, county cricket, and Super Leagues for different countries. Liam Dawson has started his career as a trainee of cricket at an unbelievable young age of 3. Before got enlisted for the Under-19 team of England, he used to play for Wiltshire and Hampshire in regional circuit. He has played for Yorkshire in first-class cricket and appeared in T20 franchise too before getting selected for the national team of England. Despite being an all-rounder, Liam Dawson starts focusing on his bowling skills more deeply and went to Zimbabwe to sharpen his slow orthodox style in spin bowling. He shone for the very first time while playing for Mountaineers in County Championship in 2012. After this, he got a chance in the final squad of England for Twenty20 World Cup in 2016. His performance consistency in this tournament gave him a clear entry in the national cricket team of England in the same following year. He made his international debut through a T20I match in 2016 and ODI debut in the same following year as well. Then, Liam Dawson made his test debut in the next year 2017 against Indian and has been playing as a permanent member of England team since then.
