Profile | Kobe Bryant is an American professional basketball player, who served the national basketball team for 20 long years, from 1996-2016. He has played 20 NBA seasons as a gourd in the national squad and considered as one of the best basketball players in the history of the sport. He has represented the US in the Olympics for two editions and FIBA Americans Championships for one season. He used to play in the position of shooting guard and small forward in the court. His father was a professional basketball player and a former NBA sportsperson. Consequently, Bryant got a perfect background to become a professional basketball player since his childhood. He has spent his early life in Italy and took her primary training there, but kept coming back to the US to play basketball seasonal leagues, especially in the summer. He played several significant matches during his junior and high school days, before starting his senior career professionally. He began his senior career in 1996 with NBA draft and gave a tough fight to the former Lakers players Larry Drew. He started his US National team career in 2007 after a few ups & downs in his career and got selected for the USA Men’s Senior National team to participate in the 2008 Summer Olympics. He has been played as the most dangerous scorer in the NBA and mostly praised for his non-pivot foot forward movement. (as Compiled by Madhushree Das Ghosh)(Profile Image from Facebook) |
