Profile | Kei Nishikori is a Japanese professional tennis player, who represents his country as well as the continent internationally since 2007. He is currently ranked as World’s No. 7 tennis player by the ATP ranking. Nishikori began playing tennis when he was only five years old and has started taking professional training since then. He took participate in All Japan Tennis Championship in 2001 and shone for the very first time as a skilled tennis player there. He went to IMG Academy in Florida to complete his professional tennis training at the age of 14. At that time, he won the Riad Tennis Tournament Under-21 and had been appeared in several domestic tennis tournaments at the junior level. His glorious stats at this level soon led him towards the bigger side and he started playing internationally from 2007. His determination and hard work pay off by placing him at the World’s No. 4 tennis player in 2015. He is a perfect baseliner, who is an absolute consistent on both wings at the court. He has the capability of playing defensively with steady wear out style to his opponent. He has an unusual playing style of striking ground-strokes on both wings. Nishikori is mostly praised for his ‘return of serves’ style inside the court with a beginning speed of 202 km/h.
