Profile | Jhye Avon Richardson is an Australian cricketer, who plays for all formats of the game and has been playing for the team since 2017. September born Jhye Richardson used to live in his native place Murdoch in Western Australia in his early days and started at cricket career in his childhood. He has represented the List-A team in Western Australia and played for Australian Legends XI in domestic level. Jhye Richardson has also played for the Cricket Australia squad and began his domestic cricket career officially in 2015. With the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2016, he has made a highlighted entry on the international stage. After this, Richardson has also appeared in some noted domestic tournaments like Big Bash League, Sheffield Shield, etc. in the same following year. He has made his international debut in the world cricket in 2017 with a T20I match. He always wanted to be a pacer but got dispirited by his coaches constantly due to his improper height as well as insufficient weight. However, Richardson develops some undeniable skills as a good pacer over time and keeps initiating drastic improvement in his bowling pattern. Currently, Richardson bowls with a consistent speed of 140 kph around with an ability to swing the ball. This consistency definitely helped this right-arm fast bowler a permanent place in the national team. Richardson hasn’t made his IPL debut so far, but he got himself named for the ICC World Cup 2019 squad. (as Compiled by Madhushree Das Ghosh) (Profile Image from Facebook) |
