Profile | Jhulan Goswami is an Indian International Women’s cricketer, who has played for the Indian national women’s cricket team from 2002 to 2018. She is a bowling all-rounder and captained the national squad for a couple of years as well. She is one of the most noted female cricketers of this country, who has maintained a well-balanced career average in both batting and bowling. She started playing professional cricket at the age of 15 and took training from Kolkata at the beginning of her career. Her hard work as well as talent soon led her to the Bengal cricket team of the state and gradually to the national team too. In 2002, she made her international debut through an ODI and test debut after a few days later both against England. After this, she made her T20 debut in 2006 and became an integral part of the Indian national team ever since then. She is a second-fastest bowler in the history of cricket and the highest wicket-taker in Women’s cricket in the ODI format. After her retirement from the international cricket in 2018, she was appointed as a bowling consultant and a player-coach for the Indian Women’s National Cricket Team.
