Profile | Jason Roy is an English International cricketer, who plays in limited-overs cricket or shorter formats of the game. He represents the Surrey squad in domestic cricket and plays as a middle-order batsman of the team. He is a South Africa-born English player and plays for the national England team since 2014. Jason Roy was moved to England at the age of 10 and then, started playing cricket with Surrey team in age group cricket. He has played under-11 cricket tournament in academy level and continued till under-19 group. In the South Africa tour in 2007, Jason came into the eyes of selectors with his first-class innings in Surrey Under-19s league. After this, he appeared in some other important domestic tournaments including Twenty20 Cup in 2008. With his undeniable contributions in domestic tournaments like NatWest Pro40 League, Triangular Tournament, Under-19 Country Championship, Surrey Second XI, etc. he made his place permanent in the country circuit. After giving some glorious contribution in domestic cricket, Jason Roy has got a chance to enter in national England team. In 2014 he started his international cricket journey through a T20I match against India and consecutively began his ODI career as well in the same following year.
