Profile | Hazratullah Zazai is an Afghan professional cricketer, who plays for the national cricket of Afghanistan since 2016. Hazratullah appears only in the shorter format of the game and represents Amo Sharks in List-A cricket. He plays for Band-e-Amir Region team in first-class cricket and for Kabul Zwanan team in Afghanistan Primer League franchise. Hazratullah plays as a left-handed opening batsman in the team and occasionally bowls in slow left-arm orthodox style. This aggressive Afghan opening batsman made his way clear in the national squad of Afghanistan in 2016 through a T20I match. He played his first ever head-turning inning in APL tournament against Balkh Legends with six sixes in a single over. After, Hazratullah starts playing as a regular member of Afghans in international cricket for limited over matches as an opening batsman. In February 2019, he played the best inning of his career against Ireland in a T20I match with an inning of 162 runs out of 62 balls. This glorious contribution made his a star in world cricket overnight and a quite household-name among the cricket-lovers. His fiery batting skills help him to make some brilliant records already in his short career graph at the international level. Currently, he was selected in the team of Afghanistan for 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup. (as Compiled by Madhushree Das Ghosh) (Profile Image from Facebook) |
