Profile | Babar Azam is a Pakistani International cricketer, who plays for the Pakistan national cricket team since 2015. He appears in all formats of the game and represents Zarai Taraqiati Bank Ltd. team in first-class cricket. Before entering his way into the national team, Babar Azam used to play in the Under-19 squad of Pakistan along with the A-side team. He came from a family that already had cricket background, as three of his cousins having played for Pakistan Internationally. That’s why; he got perfect cricket guidance since the very beginning of his career. In the domestic meadow of his career, Babar Azam has played for Pakistani Under-19 team and captained it in ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup 2012 as well. Firstly, he was enlisted for the Pakistani ODI team in the international field in 2015. After this, gradually he made his debut in other two formats of the game in 2016. Babar Azam is a right-handed top-order batsman, who occasionally bowls in right-armed off-break style. His adept batting skill awards him with numbers of records in scores, especially in the shorter formats of the game. He has successfully shown that his power-hitting batting style has the power of leading his team towards the victory. Baba Azam plays for Karachi Kings in the PSL tournament since 2017. Currently, he is named for the Pakistan team for 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup. |
