| Profile | Avishka Fernando is a Sri Lankan cricketer, who plays for the national cricket team of Sri Lanka since 2016. He appears in the shorter formats of the game or in limited overs cricket only. He is a right-handed opening batsman and occasionally bowls as right-arm medium-fast. Avishka Fernando represents the Colts Cricket Club in domestic cricket since 2018 till the present days. He has lived an utterly glorious career in domestic circuit and declared the most run scorer batsman in Youth ODI history of Sri Lanka. Avishka Fernando made his international debut through an ODI match in 2016 against Australia after completing the Sri Lankan Under-1o9 World Cup. Then he made his T20I debut lately in 2019 against South Africa. He was named in the squad of Sri Lanka for the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup.
