Arokia Rajiv is an Indian Sprinter, who represents India internationally since 2013. He is an Asian Games silver medalist, who won gold in both South Asian Games and Asian Championship in 400m event.

Arokia Rajiv comes from a poor Indian family from Tamil Nadu and has pursued his school education from the Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School in his native place. He started his primary days of sports with barefoot, but his poverty couldn’t clutch him back from achieving his dream of becoming an Olympic Sprinter. After taking coaching from his national coach, he began his international journey in 2013 with the Asian Championship.

Rajiv clinched the 6th position at that championship with his first attempt and 4th with his second attempt in the 400 m category. He got his career-best achievements in 2017 Asian Championship and bagged a gold medal along with a silver medal in that championship.

Rajiv won gold & silver successively in men’s single 400M and mixed 4x400m events. He has been performing phenomenally for the last few years and thus awarded with a post in Indian Army for his international contribution.

In 2018, he sets a new record of winning a silver medal at the Asian Games in both men’s and mixed 4x400m relays. Apart from Sprinting, he enjoys outdoor games a lot and loves to workouts for several hours in his free time. Currently, Rajiv is preparing for the upcoming 2020 Tokyo Olympics and secretly initiating the dream of winning gold in our heart.
