Profile | Arjen Robben is a former Dutch professional footballer, who played for the Netherlands national football team since 2003. He represented the German club Bayern Munich and plays as a winger of the team. He is considered one of the best footballers in the world and played in different age-group-teams from national side Netherlands, before entering the main squad. He started playing football from his childhood and began his professional club career in 2000 with the regional team FC Groningen. His wonderful playing technique and successful club career graph soon led him to the national team of Netherlands. Robben started his international football career with this national team in 2003 at the age of 19. UEFA Euro 2004 is the first ever international tournament, which Robben took part in at the beginning of his international career. He didn’t take much time to prove his excellence to the world and shortly became a dependable winger of the national team with some excellent consecutive performances. He is famous for his catchy dribbling expertise, unmatchable speed, quick crossing capability, and long-range shot style. He mostly uses his left-foot in such shots and plays from the central attacking position to keep the opponent under pressure for long. This talented left-footer winger often gets accused of diving during an international match, which sometimes rewards him with advantage and sometimes, comes with the disadvantage of penalty. He is one of the highly praised footballers around the world, which made him a dependable representative of the world-famous German sportswear like ADIDAS.
