The Left arm medium pacer was part of the Royal Challengers team line-up in the Indian Premier League 2011. Sreenath Aravind took 21 wickets in 13 matches that he played in Indian Premier League 2011, at an average of 17.52 & strike rate of 13.14. His best from the season was 4/14 which is his best in IPL so far.

The bowler who would make name as a raw pace bowler when identified. He would go on to become a line and length bowler, though missing his appeal, his pace. Mumbai Indians would win 10, lose 6 from the tournament, missing the vital qualifier 2 to the finals to stay content at number 3 in the team table at the end.
