Yakubu scored a hat-trick against Swansea City.
5. Clint Dempsey (Fulham)
Former New England Revolution Footballer Clinton Drew Dempsey would go on to score 17 goals for 1879 founded Craven Cottage based side during the 2011–12 tournament. With these goals, the United States Footballer got himself among the footballers with the most goals in Premier League 2011–12. His team would win 14, lose 14 & draw 10 from the 38 matches as they would finish at 9th in team table of the Premier League tournament. Dempsey scored a hat-trick against Newcastle United.
4. Emmanuel Adebayor (Tottenham Hotspur)
The Tottenham Hotspur Footballer Sheyi Emmanuel Adebayor would score 17 goals for his team during the 2011–12 tournament. With these goals, the Argentina Footballer got himself among the footballers with the most goals in Premier League 2011–12. 1885 founded St. Mark’s based club would go on to win 28, lose 5 & draw 5 from the season to win the first title of the tournament and qualify for the Champions League group stage. Manchester City would also lead goal-scoring as a team in the season. Agüero scored a hat-trick against Wigan Athletic.
2. Wayne Rooney (Manchester United)
Former Everton Striker Wayne Mark Rooney scored 27 goals for his team Manchester United during the 2011–12 tournament. With these goals, the England Footballer got himself among the footballers with the most goals in Premier League 2011–12. His team would win 28, lose 5 & draw 5 to finish runners up in the 20 team tournament edition and qualify for the group stage of UEFA Champions League. Rooney scored two hat-tricks, one each against Bolton Wanderers & Arsenal.
1. Robin van Persie (Arsenal)
Former Feyenoord Striker van Persie would go on to score 30 goals for the team during the 2011–12 tournament. With these goals, the Netherlands Footballer got himself among the footballers with the most goals in Premier League 2011–12, in fact leading the list. The Emirates Stadium side would finish 4th in the Premier League tournament, winning 21, losing 10 & drawing 7 in the season and qualify for the Champions League group stage. Robin scored two hat-tricks, one each against Blackburn Rovers & Chelsea.
