His side would win the tournament edition, with 26 wins, 4 losses and 8 draws and also qualify for the UEFA Champions League group stage.

Former Espanyol Footballer Gerard Moreno Balagueró was part of Villarreal Club de Fútbol during the 2020-21 tournament. Moreno would go on to score 23 goals for Estadio de la Cerámica based club. With these goals, the Spanish footballer would feature among the footballers with the most goals in La Liga 2020-21. His team would finish 5th in the team table as they’d win 15, lose 10 & draw 13 from the 38 matches of the La Liga tournament as they’d also qualify for the Champions League group stage. Gerard Moreno would score a hat-trick too during the season, against Granada Club de Fútbol.

Former Olympique Lyonnais Footballer Karim Mostafa Benzema would score 23 goals for his team during the 2020-21 tournament. With these goals, the French Footballer got himself among the footballers with the most goals in La Liga 2020-21. The Estadio Santiago Bernabéu based side would finish second in the La Liga tournament winning 25, losing 4 & drawing 9 and qualify for the Champions League group stage.

One of the integral part of the Camp Nou based team, Lionel Andrés Messi, would go on to score 30 goals for 1899 founded Futbol Club Barcelona during the 2020-21 tournament. With these goals, the Argentine Footballer got himself among the footballers with the most goals in La Liga 2020-21, in fact leading the list. His team would win 24, lose 7 & draw 7 from the competition to finish third and qualify for the Champions League group stage.
