The Andhra born Footballer Sunil Chhetri would score 9 goals for East Bengal FC during the Hero I-League 2008-09 tournament. Sunil Chhetri would go on to become the biggest football legend of India. Chhetri had started his senior level club career in 2002 with Mohun Bagan.

Barreto came to Indian Football when he signed with Mohun Bagan in 1999 in his first stint with the club.
