These are the batsmen who feature here as the ones who made to the top 5 list of the most fours in IPL history.
5. Gautam Gambhir
The Former India Opener, Gautam Gambhir, played for just two IPL Franchises, viz. Delhi Daredevils & Kolkata Knight Riders. During his IPL career, he had registered 36 fifties. He has scored 4217 runs from 152 IPL innings at an average of 31.23 & strike rate of 123.88. Gambhir had hit 491 fours and 59 sixes.
The number of fours puts him among the top 5 Cricketers with the most fours in IPL. While his highest score is 93, 17 times he stayed not out during these 4000+ runs. Since Gambhir has already retired, we might see his tally being overpassed in coming future.
4. Suresh Raina
The Former India Middle Order batsman, Suresh Raina, has played for just two IPL Franchises, viz. Chennai Super Kings & Gujarat Lions. During his ongoing IPL career, he has registered 1 hundred & 38 fifties. He has scored 5368 runs from 189 IPL innings at an average of 33.34 & strike rate of 137.14. Raina has hit 493 fours and 194 sixes.
The number of fours puts him among the top 2 Cricketers with the most fours in IPL. While his highest score is 100 not out, 28 times he stayed not out during these 5000+ runs.
4. Virat Kohli
The Indian Captain, Virat Kohli, has played for just one IPL Franchises, viz. Royal Challengers Bangalore. During his ongoing IPL career, he has registered 5 hundreds and 39 fifties. He has scored 5878 runs from 192 IPL innings at an average of 38.16 & strike rate of 130.73. Kohli has hit 503 fours & 201 sixes.
Virat is the leading runs-scorer in IPL history. The number of fours puts him among the top 4 Cricketers with the most fours in IPL. While his highest score is 113, 30 times he stayed not out during these 5500+ runs.
2. David Warner
The Aussie Opener, David Warner, has played for just two IPL Franchises, viz. Delhi Daredevils & Sunrisers Hyderabad. During his ongoing IPL career, he has registered 4 hundreds and 48 fifties. He has scored 5254 runs from 142 IPL innings at an average of 42.71 & strike rate of 141.54. Warner has hit 510 fours & 195 sixes.
The number of fours puts him among the top 5 Cricketers with the most fours in IPL. While his highest score is 126, 19 times he stayed not out during these 5000+ runs.
1. Shikhar Dhawan
The Indian Opener, Shikhar Dhawan, has played for three IPL Franchises, viz. Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians & Sunrisers Hyderabad. During his ongoing IPL career, he has registered 41 fifties & 2 Hundreds. He has scored 5197 runs from 175 IPL innings at an average of 34.41 & strike rate of 126.87. Dhawan has hit 591 fours and 108 sixes.
The number of fours puts him on the top of the list of Cricketers who have scored the most fours in IPL. While his highest score is 106 not out, 24 times he stayed not out during these 5000+ runs.
These were the cricketers who hit the most fours in the Indian Premier League.
