She was tested by the National Anti-Doping officials during the Federation Cup championship which was held in Patiala from June 1-4.
However, Kaur hasn’t been provisionally suspended as of now as the substance- dimethylbutylamine is a specified one under the WADA code. But if her confirmatory urine sample, ‘B’ also is found to be positive, then India would lose a gold medal, she earned in Bhubaneshwar.

Her urine sample has been found to have stimulant dimethylbutylamine.” He further added, “We have been notified by NADA about this last night.”
Karamjeet Kaur, who happens to be Manpreet’s coach as well as husband said, “we have not yet been told about anything.”

Sources reveal that this is the first instance of an athlete being caught for using dimethylbutylamine, a substance which has a lot of structural similarities with methylhexanamine, a stimulant which was used by a lot of sportspersons before the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi.
However Manpreet would not only lose her gold medal but might miss out for the World Championships in London next month, for which she has already qualified.
