It was terrific day for England as they register their second win of the tournament and comprehensively against Argentina in Pool A game with over 40 points margin. England made the comfortable victory by 68-28 margin. Tope remain the top scorer with 19 points by missing his best performance by just one point. In the match against Australia, he scored 20 raid points and the highest of all.
The team overall won in raids and defenses; supported by Keshav Gupta and Someshwar Kalia who also scored 10 and 13 points respectively. England dominated the court with five all outs to Argentina. The rivalry of football took field in the match between the two and was much visible in the Kabaddi World Cup as well. It was Argentina’s third successive defeat and they are standing at the bottom of Pool table.
England have moved up to third position in Pool A keeping their semi-final berth hope alive. It was lack of skill display from the defense side of Argentina that allowed England to move ahead in the game and league table.
In the second match of day in Pool B between Poland and USA as both were looking to register their first win the match turned out to be very interesting.
Poland made history by scoring 75 points which is maximum by any team at Kabaddi World Cup. Polish player Troy Bacon, Michal Spiczko, Jakub Kloskowski and Piotr Pamulak were doing magic on the mat to make it a historic match. Poland won the match 75-29.
Today we have three game lined up and it is going to be very interesting as all are looking for berth in semi-final spot.
