Ahmedabad: The stadium was jam- packed coz of the match between India and Bangladesh but the first match between Iran and Kenya turned out to be more exciting. Iran is very strong contender for the World Cup but the way Kenya gave Iranians run for their money was interesting to watch. The match between Iran and Kenya was Paisa-Wasool for all the spectators as Kenya gave Iran a close fight.
After the first half, the match for Iran became tough in absence of Miraj and Suleman. The team started missing their star raider and defender as Kenya was closing the point gap of the match. However, the match ended in favour of Iran but Kenya showed that they have the capability of turning the Group B table of Kabaddi World Cup. A lot is happening in Group B as lesser known and inexperienced teams are giving tough fights to stronger contenders.
The Group A match between India and Bangladesh turned out to be one sided as India won the match with 37 points margin. In the first five minutes, the captain cool of India Anup was out on bench and the score was 4-4 when gradually India turned the match in their favour. Firdosh from Bangladesh was doing excellent ankle hold on all the players of India.
It looked like that Bangladesh have done their homework by watching Indian games closely. Indian team coach took time to understand that Bangladesh will not let Anup play hence he put Pradeep Narwal and Ajay Thakur foot forward in raiding. The pair held the raiding for India to take them to a splendid win.
In first five minutes, Bangladesh scored only through defense proving why they are called the best defense team and proving that Kabaddi is their national game. While Firdosh remained the most successful defender for Bangladesh, Munshi scored the maximum raiding points. From India Ajay Thakur complete his super 10 and substitute Surendar Nada complete hi-five on the last tackle point of the match.
India scored 8 all out points and completed their half century with 4th all out. Not only no. 1 position in Pool A but semi-final spot was also on the line. If Bangladesh could win today they would have taken the lead and disturbed the whole table. The defeat of India by Rep of Korea has cost them much more than just a loss. Now all depends on the match between Bangladesh and Korea. If Bangladesh win they will take the lead and If Korea win they will be no. 1. A lot more is happening in pool A & B tomorrow as teams, Japan Vs Poland and Australia Vs Argentina are going to create shuffle in league table.
