5. India: 311–2 (50 Overs)
Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly made merry against the Namibian bowlers while playing in a group match in the tournament. Both the Indian batsmen went to score their hundred runs while adding a record-breaking 240+ runs for the 2nd wicket. India won the match by 181 runs to move on the top in the table.
Sachin Tendulkar made 152 runs off 151 balls with 18 fours and Sourav Ganguly scored 112 not out off 119 balls including 6 fours & 4 sixes. Among the top 5 of the highest totals at Cricket World Cup 2003.
4. Netherlands: 314–4 (50 Overs)
Namibia had to face Netherlands in a group-level match which turned out to be a purposeful chance for Netherlands to have a bigger score and to get good batting practice during the tournament. The two top-order batsmen of Netherlands team – Feiko Kloppenburg & Klaas-Jan van Noortwijk batted boldly against the weak Namibian bowling attack and made 225 runs partnership which took the Netherlands score to 314 for 4 in 50 overs.

The opener Feiko Kloppenburg made 121 runs (142 balls, 6 fours & 4 sixes) and Klaas-Jan van Noortwijk scored 134 runs (129 balls, 11 fours & 3 sixes). Netherlands won the match by 64 runs. Among the top 4 of the highest totals at Cricket World Cup 2003.
3. Australia – 319–5 (50 Overs)
In a group match between Australia against Sri Lanka, the Australian team was struggling with a score of 51 for 3. But useful contributions from Hayden and Lehmann kept the scoreboard moving. Andrew Symonds played a patient innings to help his team to reach a respectable total.
Symonds faced Sri Lankan fast and spin attack successfully to scored unbeaten 91 runs off 118 balls with 7 fours & 1 six. Australia finished with 319 for 5 in 50 overs. 2. Zimbabwe – 340–2 (50 Overs)
Zimbabwe had always surprised the cricket lovers around the world with their uncertain performances. It was a life-time opportunity for Zimbabwe to perform well in the tournament against the weak Namibian team. Zimbabwe openers Craig Wishart and Mark Vermeulen gave an opening stand of 107 runs and then Grant Flower along with Wishart added 170 runs to the score to take Zimbabwe team total to 340 for 2 in 50 overs and won the match by 250+ runs.
Wishart scored a magnificent unbeaten 172 runs off 151 balls including 18 fours and 3 sixes and Grant Flower made 78 not out off 55 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes. Among the top 2 of the highest totals at Cricket World Cup 2003.
1. Australia – 359–2 (50 Overs)
In the World Cup final match against India, the unbeaten Australian team was the defending World Cup Champion and it wanted to retain the championship again while playing against India in the final match. Gilchrist scored 57 of 48 balls with 8 fours & 1 six and Martyn made useful 88 runs off 84 balls which included 7 fours & 1 six.

But it was the captain Ricky Pointing who made unbeaten 140 runs off 121 balls with 4 fours and 8 sixes to take his team to the highest total of the tournament when Australia made 359 for 4 in 50 overs. Australia won the final match to retain the World Champions title. Led the top 5 of the highest totals at Cricket World Cup 2003.
