In a press release sent yesterday, the International Tennis Federation announced that HEAD will become an international partner of Davis Cup. An agreement of three year length has been signed between the two parties, commencing January 2017, will see HEAD produce and sell Davis Cup branded high performance tennis balls throughout the world.
Speaking about this partnership, the ITF President David Haggerty said, “This partnership with HEAD is very good news for Davis Cup by BNP Paribas as we will see Davis Cup branded balls sold globally.”
Further added Haggerty, “Davis Cup, played in around 60 countries each year, helps the ITF to grow and develop the game around the world. Over the next three years, we will work closely with HEAD to promote this partnership on a world-wide basis and inspire more people to play tennis.”
Speaking about association with ITF on Davis Cup, Ottmar Barbian, Executive Vice President HEAD Racquetsports said, “We are looking forward to this partnership with the ITF and the opportunities it presents. As the Davis Cup is one of the best known brands in tennis, the Davis Cup ball is a great addition to our tennis ball product portfolio and a unique opportunity to grow the game and, ultimately, our ball business further.”
