I am very excited to see my Swiss Sweetheart back in form again by winning Miami Open. People say that Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal are arch-rivals but I feel that on and off the court, they are the best pair to watch for. Every forehand and backhand or net play turns charismatic when both of them are playing against each other. After this year first Grand Slam Australian Open they were back again at the final of Miami Open and the result was same.
In straight set Federer defeated Nadal by 6-3, 6-4 and continued further on his outstanding start of the year. Certainly, Federer would take a break of next two months to be back again on clay with French Open. Only once has Federer won the French Open and with this start of the year may be the third final between them and result will be the same.
After his return from six months injury the 35yrs old has had till now three major wins of Australian Open, Indian Wells and Miami Open. Unfortunately for Nadal as he has been playing his fifth Miami final but remains without a win in the Masters series event. Nadal was working hard in 83 degree afternoon heat thirsty for his maiden Miami Open title but all in vain.
It was Federer who broke Nadal serve in the first set to take the lead of 5-3 and moved into second set with comfortable win. The second set was identical with fewer openings to break for both players until Federer again grab the lead at 5-4. It was the long returning a fine backhand by Nadal that gifted Federer the third title of the year.
