In the first match of Euro Beach Soccer League Sanxenxo 2016, England managed to start with a win. The English side which looked not well coordinated unit till the third period when they scored four goals to outdo the opposition Andorra by 5-1 margin.
Starting the match with not so aggressive mood, the Three lions had to counteract an uncomfortable Andorran national side, who tried, to make things difficult during the first stages of the game.
The match looked nicely poised in favor of the experienced English side which had the first inroad on the scoreboard, as Lawson swept the Three Lions ahead in midway half first period. However, Jones’s lads did not find the way to the Andorran back of the net for some minutes after their opener, and allowed Andorra to begin growing in the game.
After some hit and misses, Neira finally equalized for the Pyrenean side just seconds into the third period, setting off all England’s alarms. And that brought life into the ranks of English side and that stroke seemed exactly what England needed to truly get in control of the game. The Andorra challenge spurred the English pride, and four goals in the last period had the Three Lions securing the points in this Euro Beach Soccer League Sanxenxo opener.
