Kolkata: The Eden Gardens Club House is all set to get a new look ahead of the India’s test match against Sri Lanka. The Club House building, which has the huge photographs of Pankaj Roy, Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Jhulan Goswami among others would now have creative paintings on the walls adjacent to the vacant space on two ends of the main building.
These paintings, which are being done by Asian Paints, would portray various cricketing activities and this concept of wall arts is sure to add to the beauty of the iconic venue.
Avishek Dalmiya, the Joint Secretary of the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) said that it was the idea of former Indian skipper and CAB president Sourav Ganguly.
He said, “The idea behind this was Sourav’s who wanted something that will attract the fans as they pass by the iconic venue.”
The work is expected to be complete by November 10 before the first India-Sri Lanka test match on November 16.
