India’s Pune (Maharashtra), August 30 (AF): Chennai Quick Guns secured a spot in the semifinals of the first-ever Ultimate Kho Kho. Telugu Yodhas defeat Gujarat Giants with a victory as well after a great display.
With a 58-42 victory over Mumbai Khiladis, Chennai Quick Guns qualified for the playoffs thanks to the all-around performance of the in-form Ramji Kashyap and P Narsayya. Gajanan Shengal led the Mumbai Khiladis with 11 points.

At the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune on Monday, Telugu Yoddhas defeated Gujarat Giants 88-21 thanks in part to Avdhut Patil, who set a record for the longest defense time with 6:08 minutes.
The Telugu Yoddhas advanced into the knockout rounds after eliminating the Mumbai Khiladis’ aspirations of a Last-4 spot thanks to the victory over the Amit Patil-led Chennai Quick Guns, who became the third team to secure a playoff slot.

Ramji Kashyap of the Chennai Quick Guns, the league’s top attacker and defender, defended for six minutes and 37 seconds and scored 11 points in the attack. Narsayya, who provided outstanding support with his five dismissals, four of which came on breath-taking dives, added 14 points for the winning team.
Avdhut Patil’s outstanding defense of six minutes and eight seconds helped Telugu Yoddhas win the second game of the day by a score of 88-21, which is the largest victory in the history of Ultimate Kho Kho. He and the team’s captain, Pratik Waikar, initially scored eight points together before he went on to score eight more extras by himself. Telugu Yoddhas won the first inning, 53-8, with a 45-point advantage.

On August 30, Mumbai Khiladis will play Odisha Juggernauts, and Chennai Quick Guns will take on Rajasthan Warriors.
Odisha Juggernauts are in first place in the standings with 21 points after eight games, seven of which they won.
Eliminator and Qualifier One will take place on September 2 to kick off the playoffs, and Qualifier Two will follow on September 3. The championship game will be placed on September 4.
