As Puneri Paltan defeats and ran riot against a weak Delhi defense, that one raid set the tone for the duration of the first half. Pune increased their lead to 10-3 over the opening five minutes before the first ALL-OUT. Despite a slowly growing resistance from Delhi, Paltan managed to get a second ALL OUT to surge into a significant lead and appear to have the game in hand. Dabang Delhi was out of sorts, and the home team had the support of the fans, so they were absolutely up against it. Slowly, though, they retook the lead, thanks to Naveen Kumar’s dexterity in catching Fazel Atrachali and Gaurav Khatri off guard and reentering the contest. In Pro Kabaddi 2022, Patna Pirates and Tamil Thalaivas play to a thrilling tie score of 33-33.
After tying the score at 33-33, Patna Pirates and Tamil Thalaivas both settled for three points. The struggle for a playoff position in the middle of the table becomes more engaging as both clubs gain points. The score was tied at 5-5 in the fifth minute as the two teams played out a close game. However, shortly after, Thalaivas challenged Sachin and edged ahead 7-5. Mohammadreza Shadloui Chiyaneh, an all-around player for the Pirates, however, also put on a solid performance and helped his team tie the game at 7-7.
Ajinkya Pawar and Narender were then tackled by Chiyaneh in rapid succession, giving the Pirates the lead at 10-8 in the 12th minute. However, in the 18th minute, Ajinkya Pawar went on a run and scored a flurry of raid points to enable Thalaivas to take the lead at 13-12. But Pirates’ Sachin managed to shift the tide in his favor with a few raid points just as Patna inflicted an ALL OUT to take a commanding 20-14 lead at the half.
Narender scored a few raid points in the opening seconds of the second half, but the Pirates maintained their lead at 23-17 in the 26th minute. Narender, though, continued to stand up as he outran Neeraj Kumar and Chiyaneh to assist the Thalaivas in pulling within two points of the Pirates at 22-25. However, Himanshu Singh was quickly stopped by Sachin, giving the Pirates a foothold on the game at 27-22 in the 30th minute. But the Thalaivas persisted, and in the 37th minute, they successfully executed an ALL OUT to tie the game at 30-30.
However, raids by Rohit Gulia and Sachin helped the Pirates pull ahead once more at 33-31. But shortly after, the Tamil Nadu team attacked Gulia, tying the game at 33-33. Following that, both teams played cautiously and were content to accept a tie.
PKL 2022 Highlights: Puneri Paltan put on an outstanding display to defeat Bengal Warriors 43-27 in a Pro Kabaddi League match on Monday, and Haryana Steelers defeated Gujarat Giants in the night’s final round. Both games were played in the Balewadi Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune.

Puneri Paltan defeats Bengal Warriors
In a back-and-forth first half, Puneri Paltan sprinted out to an early lead and inflicted the Warriors with the first ALL OUT, gaining an 11-1 advantage. However, the Warriors fought back and scored a string of scores that resulted in them scoring 10 of their own while limiting Puneri Paltan to only three.
Before the pendulum swung again, they managed to get an ALL OUT of their own to close the margin. Puneri Paltan had another ALL OUT in just five minutes, cruising to a 24-12 advantage. They maintained it, leading 24–13 at the break.
The raiding trio of Inamdar, Shinde, and Goyat routinely scored points for Puneri Paltan throughout the second half, preventing the Warriors from having a chance to regroup.
The Warriors, on the other hand, were dependent on Maninder, whose successful raids were sufficient. The Puneri Paltan third ALL OUT came as expected, extending their lead to 33-14.
Following that, Puneri Paltan maintained control of the game, and Shinde’s SUPER RAID, which in the dying seconds caught out D Balaji, Surender Nada, Vaibhav Garje, and Manoj Gowda, secured the deal for the Pune team.
