Marcus Stoinis
The Australian Cricketer would go on to become one of the regular members of the Delhi Capitals playing XI the last season, a go to man for Shreyas Iyer led team. Marcus Peter Stoinis would score 352 runs for the franchise from 17 matches at an average of 25.14 and strike rate of 148.52, including three 50 plus scores. In addition, he would take 13 wickets at an average of 21.76 as DC would finish runners up in the 8 team tournament. Stoinis would be retained by the GMR owned franchise to feature in the list of Australian Players in IPL 2021.
Glenn Maxwell
The fearsome hitter of the leather ball, that is Glenn James Maxwell, was picked up by Royal Challengers Bangalore during IPL 2021 auctions and he would thus feature among the Australian Players in IPL 2021. Maxwell was part of the Kings XI Punjab franchise in the Indian Premier League 2020 and would have a relatively forgotten season. In 2021, he would team up with amazing duo of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers as their team would seek their first ever tournament title.
David Warner
The Consistent run getter for Sunrisers Hyderabad would be among the Australian Players in IPL 2021. David Andrew Warner has been part of this franchise squad since 2014 and has some real good memories with the team. Warner scored 548 runs in the 2020 edition of the most popular league tournament across the globe, at an average of 40 almost and strike rate of 134 including 4 fifty plus scores.
Chris Lynn
The Attacking Opener from Queensland would be part of Mumbai Indians and thus among the Australian Players in IPL 2021. Christopher Austin Lynn would score 400 plus runs twice in two consecutive seasons (2018 & 2019) but wouldn’t get much of an opportunity in 2020 for the Wankhede Stadium based side in the Indian Premier League tournament as this has been one of the strongest &most balanced side and getting into the playing XI isn’t a thing to bet upon.
Phase 2 in UAE, Changes in RCB Squad for IPL 2021 :
Corona Outbreak in India stopped the season post Match 29 and all the matches post match 29 were shifted out of India to be held during September-October at UAE. With the changes in season schedules, there were withdrawals and new additions to the squads. Nathan Ellis and Ben Dwarshuis would join the T20 cricket league, while Pat Cummins of KKR would withdraw.
There were the sixteen Australian players in IPL 2021 season in phase 1 and these two addition in phase 2 would make it 18. This is it for today! Hope your liked the content; don’t forget to put in your thoughts & questions as comments.
