Former Genoa Footballer Diego Alberto Milito would go on to score 23 goals for Zaragoza during the 2006-07 tournament. With these goals, the Argentine Footballer got himself among the footballers with the most goals in La Liga 2006-07. His team would finish sixth in the team table of the tournament edition winning 16, losing 10 & drawing 12 matches of the tournament as they’d also qualify for the UEFA Cup first round.

Former Manchester United Footballer Rutgerus Johannes Martinus van Nistelrooi would score 25 goals for Real Madrid Club de Fútbol during the 2006-07 tournament. With these goals, the Dutch Footballer got himself among the footballers with the most goals in La Liga 2006-07, in fact leading the table. The Bernabéu based side would win the La Liga tournament edition, winning 23, losing 8 & drawing 7 matches and qualify for the Champions League group stage.
